I am no longer a teenager! Officially 20!
Well, yes, another year older! And half way to 40. Scary.
Anyway, I am going to go enjoy my birthday (yes I’ve been fixing issues with clients services on my birthday, shock!)
Thanks for all the kind comments :) x
Week of work! Weekend off though!
Yup. This week has been mental, quite literally. I haven’t stopped working all week and even at the weekend. Orders have shot through the roof with hosting, I’ve got lots of design work on and obviously not forgetting my full time job a Star.
Oh well, I am officially taking this weekend off. My weekend starts on Friday, where I can have a lie in and ends Monday evening, where...

Social media and the general election?
I was reading this article from the BBC which was suggesting that election candidates should be on alert about what they say, both publically and in meetings. Okay, so yes, you do need to watch what you say as it could appear on Twitter or as a video on YouTube, but surely it isn’t just about “MPs watching what they say”?
So … Here’s what I think: (it may not be...

Is 'news' slowly being taken over by social...
It’s a general question, but my answer: Maybe.
I’m posing this question after reading this article about how some twins found out that their brother died in a car crash through Facebook. Their mother wasn’t even informed by the police but instead by social networking.
I actually get most of my news through Twitter, Facebook and web forums (discussion forums). For example,...

HipHop for PHP - What!?
At the Facebook Technology Tasting yesterday, some Facebook engineers revealed a new type of open source PHP technology, HipHop for PHP. It’s been developed by a team of developers at Facebook who have been working on the project for over 2 years.
The project was initially aimed at making Facebook run smoother (the back-end servers) where the team say they have managed to reduce the CPU...
Throwing away what I love.
You know, I’ve learnt a lot over the past few years by running businesses and creating websites. I’ve met loads of people, really cool people. I’ve developed some well known websites and have been in the news a fair bit.
The time has come to give up what I love. Creating & developing websites.
Why? It’s simple. I want to develop my career, learn the ways of the...

Weekend away in Cardiff - Done.
Well this weekend was really interesting. I went to Cardiff for a mates 19th birthday and stayed at my mates University house. Here’s how it planned out … (and what happened)
Friday: Drove down in the afternoon, getting lost going into the city centre. Going out in the evening to a pub called Koko Gorillaz and drinking lots.
Saturday: Went to Barry Island! It was freaking awesome....

What I think of the iPad.
Yesterday Apple unveiled what could be the future of technology - or just another gizmo - the iPad, a tablet device.
When the iPhone came out, the first time I laid my hands on one I wanted one. The iPhone made my life complete (may sound sad, but it really did). So will the iPad do this for me again?
In his speech yesterday, Steve Jobs questioned “whether there is room for a third...
Damn you config files!
Okay so I updated php.ini yesterday… A simple task to allow clients to upload at least 80MB via PHP forms. It turned out to be a nightmare. Firstly, IonCube didn’t work after the Apache reboot. Secondly, FTP failed. I recompilied Apache four times, manually installed the IonCube loaders and manually added the zend_extension line to php.ini. I even raised a support ticket with IonCube....

Yup, the next open web standard is being tested on YouTube. I’m yet to see the improvement but hopefully will soon.

InterBuzz is born! (finally)!
Been meaning to open a technology news site for over a year and finally in 2010 I’ve just done that. InterBuzz.net is born using PHP and MySQL to bring the site live, with a funky Photoshop designed website and Dreamweaver coded.
InterBuzz.net is going to be your source for news about the internet, paying attention to websites and new projects that are hitting the web.
Check it out today...
